Female Engineers in the Energy & Utilities Sector

International Women in Engineering Day (#INWED20) took place on 23 June and we continued our mission to raise the profile of female engineers and encourage more to work in the energy & utilities sector.

During this pandemic the sector’s key workers are keeping the essential services of gas, power, water & waste management running. We are celebrating the good things women engineers are doing to #ShapeTheWorld in these uncertain times.

Working in the energy & utilities sector is particularly exciting at the moment, considering the amount of innovation and change we’re witnessing. The combination of climate change, new energy generating technologies, and ensuring everything works smoothly and affordably is a real challenge.

Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive and for businesses to be representative of the communities they serve.
