We would like to welcome Mark Thurston to Anglian Water, who will officially take up the post as CEO on 5 August. Mark joins us at a pivotal time as we prepare for our largest and most ambitious business plan and infrastructure programme.
Hot, dry and growing, our region faces a challenging backdrop as temperatures increase, the population grows and rainfall becomes more erratic. Our five-year plan is about ensuring we’re resilient to these challenges and can continue to provide vital services our region needs, for decades to come.
Mark’s substantial experience across major infrastructure will be a huge asset during this crucial next phase as we deliver a strategic pipeline to keep taps flowing for generations, create more nature-based solutions to enhance the environment than any other part of the country, and continue planning for two new reservoirs.
