Apprenticeships that matter
Build the Future with the energy and utilities sector
This National Apprenticeship Week [7-13 February 2022] is about building the future, and with the national pledge to cut carbon emissions to net zero by 2050, there’s never been a better time to consider an apprenticeship in the energy and utilities sector.
It has been estimated that to achieve net zero, the sector needs 277,000 new recruits to join by 2029. This is not only to strengthen an ageing workforce, but also to fill a wide range of new roles to develop a low carbon economy.
“An apprenticeship in the energy and utilities sector is an opportunity to train for a new role in a fast-developing set of industries at the forefront of the fight against climate change.
